daylighting systems, is pleased to announce that it now offers an Energy
Star®-rated product. The popular 10- and 14-inch Solatube® skylights, used for
both residential and commercial applications, now come standard with this
enhanced energy efficiency rating.
Energy Star is a
government-backed program helping businesses and individuals protect the
environment through superior energy efficiency. The Environmental Protection
Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy work closely with more than 1,000
manufacturers to determine the energy performance levels that must be met for a
product to earn the Energy Star rating. Only products that meet these stringent
energy-efficiency requirements are awarded this prestigious label.
The new Energy Star
rating confirms that the Solatube product is designed for optimum energy
efficiency. Solatube has always been an ideal way to reduce energy consumption
in a home or commercial structure by eliminating or reducing the need for
electric lights during daylight hours. By adopting this new energy efficiency
rating, Solatube is now able to better quantify its significant energy benefits to the increasing number of consumers
